Do not feed AI real personal data, real customer data, confidential business documents, real financial or medical records, or another person's private communications. Do not use AI outputs as legal, medical, or safety advice. Verify facts before you act on them. Disclose AI generation when it materially affects how the reader will interpret the content.
Assume anything you type into a general AI tool may be reviewed or used. Redact identifiers. In some jurisdictions (France under GDPR, for example), certain data uses need explicit consent — respect that.
Do not use AI to copy a specific artist's style with intent to deceive. Do not use copyrighted characters commercially without permission. Do not present AI-generated content as human-created when that matters (news, journalism, official records).
When unsure, ask: whose data is this? Whose work am I imitating? Would this mislead someone who cannot tell it was AI? Am I making a claim I cannot verify? Any 'yes' is a stop-and-reconsider signal.
